Ken lied
Remember in the beginning of the series at the bar, when Ryu fights Guile, Guile asks Ken "So what's your story..." Ken says "We fight only one-on-one..."
But at the end, they both end up fighting Bison at the same time....

The last half was *beep* anyway so how cares
Lol! Yes, and there are plenty of other large brawls in the series. Oh and of course Ken and Ryu are gay--that's why they like to fight one on one, wrestiling & pinning the other fighter down with their huge muscles...
shareSo did Ken to Ryu at the end when he said "maybe I'll see you again someday!" *series ends*
They take turns fighting Bison, they never attack him at the same time... Ryu does jump in front of Bison to block an attack on Ken who was already almost unconscious but I think him wanting to save Ken's life goes beyond their little rule about not fighting someone 2 on 1....
Also, even if they did both fight Bison at the same time, this occurs long after Ken made that comment in the Ryu/Guile fight scene... Potentially the fate of the world was in their hands & they had to be sure that Bison was stopped at all costs. ((The characters even mention this to each other during the fight, indicating a possible policy change regarding their rules about fighting))
