*** Just Kidding, It Isn't Possible To Spoil This Movie ***

I'm watching this movie while cooking, cleaning, etc., so I think I must have missed something.

If Rob Lowe knew how to disarm the bomb, why didn't he do so while he was on the train? And then why did the military guys let Rob Lowe, a civilian, work on the bomb? And if the black guy knew how to do it with his eyes closed, why didn't he do it in the first place?

Of course, that's only the tippity tip top of the iceberg.

1. Rob Lowe didn't know how to disarm the bomb. He was more of a train guy than a bomb guy.

2. They didn't really let him work on the bomb, just open the box and get the numbers off of it, and then try to see if maybe he could get it hooked up to the crane to pull it out of there. And he wasn't really a civilian per se, because he was with the NTSB or some such disaster management agency.

3. The "black guy" (who has a name, by the way, and was played by Blu Mankuma) didn't do it in the first place because the plan was to get the bomb out of the train car and then work on it. When it became clear that they couldn't get the bomb off of the train in time, and that the bomb squad would take too long to get there, Blu Mankuma's character went in as a sort of last resort.
