Saw the film at the Mannheim-Heidelberg Film Festival in either '97 or '98.
I enjoyed it very much. Of the (if I count correctly) 4 Israeli art house comedies I have seen over the years, this one is my favourite.

But, as with the other Israeli art house comedies, I believe Mar Baum's particular tone and humour to be just a pinch too peculiar in order to work well with audiences outside Israel. So there probably never was a market. Looked for a DVD a couple of years ago, but there seems to be none available.

Would need a re-make / re-telling in order to succeed in other markets, I guess.
