actors/scenes cut

So I watched the trailer on the dvd and several things in there did not make the movie. The "you didn't tell me there was a sister!" scene with the character Beverly (Buck's girlfriend, I guess?) yelling at Buck and the policeman scene were absent from the movie. In fact, I don't even remember seeing Beverly at all in the movie - although Beverly is referenced by Shue when she calls Buck after witnessing the doctor "flirting" with Sam. She says something to Sam about Beverly sleeping with everyone in town or something like that. Did I fall asleep during half this movie, or what? I guess these people were written out, but the actress for the Beverly character is still credited here. I didn't bother to look for the cop.

Sorry OP for the 7 year lag. You are right, the movie is chopped up pretty badly for the DVD. Very disappointing. If you watch it on THIS [tv] they left in the scenes you missed with the girlfriend and the cop, but of course cut out some other scenes for nudity, etc. and allowing for commercials. Would love to see the entire thing in totality, as imdb notes, 102 minutes worth. Only 91 minutes made the DVD, though it says on the box, 87.
One of the great underrated movies of all time, probably because many people seem to have so much trouble dealing with those whom they perceive as different-which means we need more movies like it, so some eyes and minds will be opened.
