The most underrated Bond film?

Recently watched this again on Bluray and it's definitely one of the best Brosnan Bonds.

Story and villain(s)are very good, Pierce Brosnan's best performance as 007, great action sequences that don't go too over the top, a wonderful score and one of the best pre-credit sequences of all the films.

The main criticism this film gets is Denise Richards performance. Well i think she's fine in the film in a frankly underwritten part.

Was it a millionaire who said "Imagine no possessions"?

I also think that not only is this film very underrated, but the n64 tie-in game was too.

Indeed this is extremely underrated.

I agree that it's heavily underrated. Maybe not the most underrated, but certainly a contender. Elektra King is a terrific character and the storyline is solid.

It definitely is. Brosnan's best performance as Bond without a doubt for me.
It's pathetic how many like to bash the whole movie just because of the casting of Denise Richards.
First she wasn't really bad. Second Sophie Marceau was the main Bond girl and she was fantastic. And third there were many secondary bad Bond girls in the Connery Moore eras but none of them single handidly ruined an entire movie. It's a very silly argument from the TWINE haters.

Id say it is along with DIe another day.
And funny because both are hatted because of the main Bond girl and well die another day because of the surfing CGi escaping from the Icaro.

But aside from it both are very good flicks in their own way and both had great femme fatales.
The world is not enough had Elektra and Die Another Day Miranda Frost and actually in both films we first think they are good girls

Die Another Day deserves a bit more riding because of how much the movie tries to push Jinx on the audience. They were hoping for a spinoff film, so it felt a bit like one of those TV show episodes where they bring in the cast of a brand-new (or incipient) TV show in an attempt to piggyback some viewers. So, Jinx was more annoying in that regard.

But, yeah, you're right: Die Another Day takes more of a drubbing than it probably deserves.

Moonraker, on the other hand...

Agreed. And I like Denise Richards as Christmas. Gives the character a bit of sass and presence.

Denise Richards was terrible. Its a shame Brosnan was stuck with such garbage writing for these films after Goldeneye.
