Veronica Vreeland/Harlequinn

Question for you guys:

I just watched this, got it from Netflix, and I've been watching it for a few days. I've also been typing up the transcript, because subtitles are not always accurate.

I'm wondering, though, why is Veronica Vreeland (criminal alias, Harlequinn) credited as being in this movie? She isn't in the movie at all. The main criminal is Mr. Freeze, with whom she never has any involvement that I'm aware of, but I don't read the comics and never have.

If any of you can explain this, that'd be great. I know all the rest of the credits are right, though. Thanks.

There is a character named Veronica Vreeland in the film, voiced by Marilu Henner. Veronica is a socialite friend of Bruce Wayne who first appears in the Batman: The Animated Series episode "Birds of Prey." There is no indication that she ever becomes the villainess Harlequinn in the DCAU/Timmverse continuity.

I know who she is and I know when she was introduced. I just don't get why she's credited, real life or criminal alias, in the film, when she isn't there. Or is she, and I missed it?

Veronica is in the movie. She is introduced just past the 13-minute mark at the fundraiser. Veronica introduces Bruce to her three friends: Buffy, Debra and Caitlin. She is identified by name when Bruce tells her that he's leaving the party--just before Dick invites Barbara to the jazz festival. Bruce uses her nickname "Ronnie."

Oh! Now that you say that, I understand. Wow, I have watched this movie probably 200 times since I was little and I didn't get that. Thanks!

Veronica Vreeland and Harley Quinn are two different characters.

They're both dizzy blondes (natural or otherwise) but unlike spendthrift bimbo Veronica, Harleen Quinzel is actually a smart, accomplished psychiatrist/gymnast.
