Laurel and Hardy without Stan and Ollie

While I think we all agree that the basic impressions are decent (Sartain has even more chins than Babe Hardy); the biggest problem is that no one associated with this picture has any idea about Laruel and Hardy comedy. The basic premise isn't L&H material at all. Look at the "Dreamboat" quote in this section; Stan would never have insulted Ollie like that. Bud to Lou, or Moe to Curly maybe, but insult comedy was not part of the L&H canon. This is a picture for two comedians, whoever they might be. Laurel and Hardy needed material exclusive to their screen personalities, and few other than Stan could create that material. This is the same thing that happened to "the boys" at Fox and MGM at the end of their career; nobody realized they had Mr. Laurel and Mr. Hardy in the movie.
