whatever happened to tracy?

Tracy was in the very first season, the very first episodes, of "ZOOM" in 1972. She's not listed in the cast here. I always thought she was cool, really natural. Does anyone know anything about her, like last name, further involvement in the arts, what she's doing now, etc.?

Tracy Schulman was my favorite Zoomer too. On the Zoom website there's a link where you name that Zoomer. They show 3 pictures and give a name; you have to guess which one it is. All it says for Tracy is that she is a promotion director for a CBS radio station in Texas.

Thanks, ctfan79! I'll check out the link. I'm surprised about the job in Texas (I figured she'd be involved in the arts or media somewhere in the Boston, New York or LA area), but whatever she's doing, I just hope she's happy. I also hope she knows about the good memories she gave all of us viewers when she was on Zoom. Best to you, Tracy!

Hi again, ctfan79. I checked PBS's website and found the ZOOM notation on Tracy, which I appreciate your letting us all know about. One quick question: How did you know her last name was Schulman? It isn't mentioned at the PBS site.

reply

Look up ZOOM on wikipedia. It lists the full names of all the kids on each season. Tracy Schulman was on first (early '72) and second ('72-'73)season.

ADDED: There is a picture of a 2004 reunion of Zoomers from the first season at the WGBH studios with the present Zoomers (from 2004). Here's way to see it.

type in search field: "70s tv show Zoom reunion". hit enter.

There is a link that says: "ohtheydidn't this a a throwback tv post ZOOM" click on it to see the picture.

According to Bernadette the ones that attended where: Edith, Tracy, Kenny, Jay, Leon, Ann, Timmy, Maura, and Bernadette. Looking at the picture (left to right) it seems to match up with the order of the names given by her. So Tracy should be the second from the left.

Oh my gosh, ctfan79, this will be GREAT if I can find it. So far I haven't, and I need a little help. I went to the PBS website and typed in the exact wording you gave to put in the Search field, and it did bring up a list of 7 things, but none of them had a link you mentioned. Did I go to the wrong site? I'd love to see the pic of the ZOOMers!

reply

Sorry about that; I should have been more clear. When I said the search field I meant doing a basic internet search like using aol or google.

Finally got it! Thanks, ctfan79. I did what you said, and sure enough there was the pic. It's too bad the faces are a little small, but you can still kind of make out who's who. What a great feeling to see them as they are today and to remember them when they were kids and brought us so much joy. Thanks again!

The same reunion picture is also on Bernadette Yao's website (bernadetteyao.com).
