The Biwa Priest

Before this movie Zatoichi seemed to enjoy striking people down. He would kill people and then not seem to give it another thought. In this movie he begins to change.

After killing in front of Taichi:

Ichi: What else could I do?
Biwa Priest: One hour's cold will spoil seven years of warming. You don't have the sense to understand.
Ichi: I'm not as wise as you are.
