Very racist and stereotypical cartoon

Anyone who thinks that this cartoons is funny and entertaining need his or her eyes examined. I've seen some of the Censored 11 banned cartoons, but this one is the most racist out of all I've seen. Never in my life have I saw a cartoon that depicts blacks in a stereotypical negative way. No wonder the NAACP wrote the makers of this cartoon and told them to shut this sh!t down. I know someone is going to say, oh well the music in this cartoons was very good. True enough, but, you have to look at the way that the characters in this cartoon were drawn. Big lips, no shoes and socks on, the stereotypical way that they talked etc. Hollywood and the film industry got away with alot of racist stuff during the 1930's and 1940's. I'm glad I didn't live in that era.

Who cares what you have to say on the matter?

Obviously you do care. Otherwise, you wouldn've responded to my post!

I happen to think that this is very funny, and I am NOT a racist, nor do I need my eyes tested.

Maybe you need to go back and watch the cartoon again. Theres nothing funny about it at all. You know what, I don't think you really have seen this cartoon. You're just here to start beef with me like you always do.

You always sterotype people, and you are so hypocritical it is un-true!

I've never stereotyped anyone. Now I'm supposed to be hypocritical because I have an opinion on a racist cartoon? Get out of here.

I've seen this cartoon and I don't see what's so funny or entertaining about it. They portray blacks who look like monkeys, they are saying that black people stink, all the flys around them! They are saying black people are so lazy and so poor that they can't afford shoes. All the black peoples clothes have holes in them and they don't match. The black women and little girls all talk like men! They portray the black people as slaves, still picking cotton. And the name of the town says it all, lazytown. Only the light skinned Lena Horne cartoon lady looks human!

There is nothing funny or remotely entertaining about this cartoon! I'm not saying if you like this cartoon that you are a racist. But deep down inside you must harbor some kind of bad feelings towards black people, if you think this is funny and entertaining.

I think maybe if the characters were replaced with bunnies, mice or whatever, but the plot remained the same, many would say, "oh, it's just a town of lazy, perhaps poor rabbits, and this other sexy, upbeat mouse comes in and gets the whole town going". the humor in it would probably still hold.
the fact that it is stereotyped black people is of course what gets everyone riled up, and with good reason. If you are able to look past the actual insulting characters, there is some humor there, plus the great music. i think (and hope) that most of the people who find this cartoon to be amusing, are able to do that, and are not just simply finding humor in the simian-like characters.

Personally, i wasn't offended as much as shocked, but i do believe that this is the most racist cartoon i have seen (Never saw the censored 11), despite the humor in it.

The first thing you need to it funny is some sense of humor. And like I said, I thought it was very funny. And just as entertaining as the cartoon is the hysterical reactions from some of those who didn't like it. I just wish I had it on DVD.

If you are interested, i found my copy in "cartoon crazys banned and censored", i think for under 10 on amazon and Deepdiscountdvd.com. It's a green cover. hope that helps.

This is by far the most racist cartoon I've seen in my life. None of the characters in this cartoon look human at all. I didn't find it entertaining nor funny because it depicts black as stinky people, lazy, unemployed, broke, can't afford clothes, etc. Who gets a kick or laugh out of watching something like that?

That's correct. It is fully possible to not like black people for other reasons than their skin. Her is an image from Scrub Me Mama with a Boogie Beat: http://www.katienice.homestead.com/files/Scrub06.jpg Would anybody care if they were white?

I agree with just about everything in this post. but the big lips, those not born with them are getting surgery to make them that way.
