OK if I'd seen Seven before I'd seen this then maybe I'd have a different view? I saw this on channel 5 a few years ago and thought it was great, I've been trying to get a copy ever since with no luck. Am I forgetting something? Is it really that bad?

shareYou know, as much as this movie was a complete and total ripoff of Se7en, I still really enjoyed it. Since Se7en came out, we've been assaulted with countless ripoffs, most of which are completely worthless films on their own "merits" (The Bone Collector, anyone? Or how about all those laughable Ashley Judd thrillers?). This one was different, simply because unlike most of the other Se7en copycats, it's well-written, well-executed, and just plain entertaining. In other words, I agree!
shareNo. You are most certainly not. In fact, I consider this film one of the most vastly underrated thrillers around. Naturally, there are several things that come to mind which could have been improved, but can't we really say that about any film? The previous post made mention of Seven, which I consider one of the best films ever made. Period. But having said that, come to think of it, there are one or two things that could have been worked on in that brilliant movie too.

Totally agree, this is a really good film. While no-one would deny it definitely being put into production because of Sevens success, unlike so many others this one had a really good and interesting script and stood well on its own.

shareI really enjoyed this movie and in NO WAY is it a rip-off of Seven (another movie I really like!). In NO WAY did I even THINK of Seven when watching this movie. I just think that this is one hell of a good movie.!

yes, there are a lot of similarities to ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER [se7en], but nonetheless, it was worth watching this...but it wasn't THAT GOOD that I would buy the dvd... and yes, that with the shock-effects was true, they are really well made...

shareI am a semi-fan of Christopher Lambert and you know inside of blockbuster where they play the trailers of various known and unknown films, thats where I first heard of Ressurection.
Well I rented it, really enjoyed it (not caring that it was similar to se7en) and bought a copy shortly after. Its just too bad that for every 1 good Lambert film he will put out 5-6 stinkers.
This is one of Christopher Lamberts best movies. For the average man, maybe that´s not saying much, but this is very entertaining.

I get haunted by the Exorcist III Hallway scene
I've been watching it for the first time on the heavily sanitized late night Fox programming. It looks good, and I'll be looking for it on full, unadulterated home video. I am a Lambert fan, especially the odd balls like Gun Men and The Hunted, and it's nice to see him in a film that isn't an immediate Highlander wannabe or a buddy piece with another actor that's trying to keep their name in the entertainment news.
I'm also a fan of simply lesser known movies, ones that were good, but never huge successes. I liked movies like The Order and The Ninth Gate, for pretty much the same reason as what strikes me about this one.

shareNo, I like it too! The idea is really amazing and the characterization of detective Prudhomme is perfect: he's lost the faith after his son's death and he got it in the end. Christopher Lambert has made a good job!
