I liked her in the movie. Her interactions with sonny were funny. They didn't really hate each other. She just hated him in a friendly way.

I agree but that was her character though. Sonny wasn't too friendly to her either with his constant judgement of her working at hooters like who gives a *beep*.

Because she thought she was. She was a doctor and he was a toll booth attendant. She didn't want her LAWYER sister to get involved with someone she felt was a total loser.
