Who was the guy with the bags who the main character beat up who then came back and shot him?

From what I understood, he was an old rival of the main character or something.

He was sent by a boss from Japan (because Yujii had fled to China) and couldn't go back home until he had found and killed him. Thats why he was so happy and he stripped off all those grungy cloths because he could finally go home to Japan.

I thought it was pretty straight forward the guy with the bags was the son of someone the Yakuza had killed in the past just as the guy who was saved by the lighter had killed Ah Chen's father. Remember he turned at the end and said when you are older you will get your revenge, therefore continuing the circle. May not be right but it is the way I took it.
