Great movie!

This movie is totally awesome!!
I think it's the best of all the DBZ movies just because it explaines
so much about Freeza, Bardock and even Bardock's son Goku.
The story is great, action is great and the end is amazing.
Altough it is a very short movie (41.00 minutes) it's certainly
satisfying.

It was good, but i thought bardock should have killed one of freezia's henchmen. Like someone real strong with a powerlevel of 20,000 or something.

bradleybennett. You would think that a low class soldier like Bardock would defeat a warrior of 20,000, I don't think so. Those elites he fought on Planet Meat defeated his friends with ease but Bardock managed to defeat them, because he fought them strategically and he was becoming stronger. But no way Bardock could become as stronger as Goku

I agree I think it was a really great movie, compared to the other DBZ movies this had a lot more depth.
Also had a wicked soundtrack, I was well impressed.

Well, there must've been something special about Bardock because think of how powerful his decendants became (Goku, Gohan, Goten). Even if he was not going to even reach Super Saiyan he would've still be powerful. Capable of holding his own against some of Friezas best henchman.

Then again, that's really just my opinion.

The interesting thing is, is that as a low level soldier, Bardock became almost the sole reason Frieza killed all the Saiyans.

He was a low level soldier, but he was able to beat a handful of Frieza's elites. Learning of Bardock's increase in power scared Frieza so much that he had to destroy all of the Saiyans before it was too late.

I'm just curious to know why he let Vegeta live if at such an early age showed tremendous potential. Wouldn't he think that Vegeta might become the Super Saiyan of legend that would defeat him?

Bought the DVD today. Will watch it soon. After Ranma 1/2.

I've only seen the Abridged version honestly.
