What the hell is with the rock music?

So I was watching this in English at first but I couldn't stand watching it anymore with all the bs rock music playing THE ENTIRE *beep* MOVIE. I switch to the Japanese audio out of curiosity and suddenly it becomes an amazing heartfelt story that really kicked me in the nostalgic gut while providing an amazing story that was well-written and well crafted. The English dub ruined it! Why did they have to have that terrible rock music playing the ENTIRE *beep* MOVIE?! Even during the dramatic points!

This is a great movie, I just think the English dub ruins the *beep* damn thing.
