About Broly's defeat in the movie.

Usually whenever I read about Broly's defeat at the end of this movie I keep seeing that it was unrealistic or just a stupid idea. I admit at first it does seem like that but I read somewhere that the spot Goku punched him was the same spot King Vegeta stabbed him as an infant. That the spot never completely healed over, that it was Broly's "Achillies Heel". I mean he gets hit everywhere else and it never budges him, then he's hit in his stomach (the spot the King stabbed him) and that's the only thing that causes him pain....well physical pain.

I think its annoying how goku got in the way when he exploded.

It has nothing to do with "stab wound" never healing - it's because Goku did his thing. He did that scream/yell and got a huge amount of energy out of nowhere - it's what Goku does. The energy from Vegeta and everyone just gave him a push. After that Broly was done.

Well, I think that the energy Goku got from the others, combined with all the energy Broly already had (keep in mind that his power keeps growing, non-stop I think)that could have caused a massive overload of power, even for one being as powerful as Broly. This is just what I assume it is.

That's what I thought too. Remember when Vegeta first mentions the Super Saiyan in the first season he says that the legendary Super Saiyan in the stories he heard could only keep its form in the transformed Oozaru form. It's possible that in his normal Saiyan form he couldn't contain all the power. Could also explain why he bulged up so much when he turned into a Super Saiyan; he was about ready to burst. I thought he also looked like he had gone Super Saiyan level 3 with his eyes. Just an observation. . .

King Vegeta didn't stab him.
He got one of his underlings to do it. Pay better attention next time.
Otherwise, it's a pretty good theory.

Also that theory about Brolli not being able to contain his own power and overloading was pretty good too.

That's a dumb explanation.

Actually it looked like King Vegeta was the one who stabbed him. It also makes sense because most Saiyans didn't go beyond a power level of 10,000 (prior to the age of Super Saiyans), so an underling wouldnt likely be able to kill Broli.

Also, Broli's death is foreshadowed based on everyone calling him the legendary Super Saiyan- who exploded when he couldn't control his power. Goku simply ignited it.
