4/10. Here's why / Esta es la razón:
The makers of DORAGON BORU Z: CHIKYû MARUGOTO CHô KESSEN (DRAGON BALL Z: THE TREE OF MIGHT) did a *beep* job with TURLES (the new villain). I assumed that he was BARDOCK (GOKU's father) and his name was changed for the Latin American dub, but it's not my fault. They both look the same. And in this continent, they and GOKU are voiced by the same person (Mario Castañeda). Because of this, I didn't like the idea of GOKU not having a catharsis by meeting his father. And I didn't like that there was no explanation as to how BARDOCK was still alive. Now that I know the truth... Well, there's not much difference. You see, when GOKU first talks to (or yells at) TURLES, it's like he already knows him. And he's never surprised at seeing someone who looks exactly like him. That's just *beep* writing. Overall, the plot is too formulaic even for this movie series. And then there's the annoying purple dragon. I wouldn't have had a problem with him in DORAGUN BORU, but DORAGUN BORU Z is too dark for such a cutesy character. Speaking of, 1 of the reasons why I consider the 1st series to be better is that it had a true sense of adventure and it was all about the quest. The 2nd series betrayed its own title because it's not really about the Dragon Balls. Whenever they did appear, they were a lot easier to found than in the 1st series. This movie is an example of that. It opens with a 2-minute montage of the Z FIGHTERS finding them all. The only reason why I would ever recommend this is seeing GOKU, KRILLIN, YAMCHA, TIEN SHINHAN and CHIAOTZU fighting together for the last time. Seriously, the latter 3 practically dissapear after the CELL saga. Another thing that bothered me is that GOHAN, as a great ape, recognizes the dragon he had just met but he doesn't recognize his own father.

Los realizadores de DORAGON BORU Z: CHIKYû MARUGOTO CHô KESSEN (DRAGON BALL Z: LA BATALLA MÁS GRANDE DEL MUNDO ESTÁ POR COMENZAR) hicieron un pésimo trabajo con TERLES (el nuevo villano). Asumí que él era BARDOCK (el padre de GOKÚ) y que su nombre fue cambiado para el doblaje latinoamericano, pero no es mi culpa. Ambos se ven iguales. Y en este continente, ellos y GOKÚ son doblados por la misma persona (Mario Castañeda). Debido a esto, no me gustó la idea de que GOKÚ no tuviera una catarsis al conocer a su padre. Y no me gustó que no hubiera una explicación sobre el porqué BARDOCK seguía vivo. Ahora que sé la verdad... Bueno, no hay mucha diferencia. Verán, cuando GOKÚ le habla (o grita) a TERLES por 1ra vez, es como si ya lo conociera. Y nunca se sorprende al ver alguien que se ve igual a él. Eso es ser pésimo escribiendo guiones. En general, la trama es demasiado repetida incluso para esta serie de películas. Y luego está el irritante dragón morado. Yo no hubiera tenido un problema con él en DORAGUN BORU, pero DORAGUN BORU Z es demasiado oscura para un personaje así de tierno. Hablando de eso, una de las razones por las cuales considero que la 1ra serie es mejor es que tenía una verdadera sensación de aventura y que se trataba de la búsqueda. La 2da serie traicionó su propio título porque no se trata realmente de las Esferas del Dragón. Cada vez que aparecían, eran mucho más fáciles de encontrar que en la 1ra serie. Esta película es un ejemple de eso. Comienza con un montaje de 2 minutos en el cual los GUERREROS Z las encuentran todas. La única razón por la cual recomendaría esto es ver a GOKÚ, KRILIN, YAMCHA, TEN SHIN HAN y CHAOZ peleando juntos por última vez. En serio, los últimos prácticamente desaparecen después de la saga de CELL. Otra cosa que me molestó es que GOHAN, como un gran simio, reconoce al dragón que acababa de conocer pero no reconoce a su propio padre.
