kindof a pre-cursor to tyler perry's style

this film has the 'feel' of a tyler perry film (even though this one came first)

i think perhaps tyler based his style/themes on this movie. seriously, take a look at it for a second. this is kindof a boilerplate for the basic stories tyler likes to tell.

i am not saying there's anything wrong with that. quite the contrary, i like tyler's stuff and this one is great too.

just making an observation. :)
