Where can I find the region 2 DVD?

Hi,

Man this is such a great movie and I can't wait to add it to my takashi miike collection but....I can't find it anywhere! Does anyone know a site where I can buy bird people in china region 2 dvd? Thanks!

if you are in england it hasnt been released over here yet. the only region 2 release i have seen is the japanese one (no english subs and expensive). if the the american release is an option (if you have a multiregion dvd player) you can get it from amazon.co.uk through the market place. i ended up going for the hong kong version which has a pretty poor non-anamorphic picture, but at the time it was the only version i could get hold of.

There is also a French (Region 2) DVD, available at Fnac.com or Amazon.fr.

There is a R2 DVD with english subtitles that pops up at ebay from time to time, just keep your eyes open. I'm not sure if it is a bootleg, as the printing quality of the cover looks a bit suspicious, however, the subtitles are done very professional. There is also a german disc by Asian Film Network (www.asianfilmnetwork.de) announced for 2006, which uses the same master but as far as I know has only german subtitles.

This is a link to an Amazon.co.uk market-place seller. It's Region 0 (plays anywhere) and PAL so it should work on all DVD players and PAL TV's. It's brand new and costs £9.90 which includes world wide postage. I just ordered so it hasn't arrived yet but hopefully the company won't screw up and I'll finally get a copy of this film I can use.

Ebay is the best place to get any foriegn dvds, all mine are imported, i have a multi region dvd player, and use my laptop - use vlc media player to watch the dvd's as Wmp wants you to change region and you can only do thnat a limited number of times..

My Bird People In China cost about 49p and maybe 1.99 for p+p, so its not to bad, but always make sure your dvd comes with english subtitles (most of them do)

Anyways, i'm just about to sit down now and watch this...hope its as good as everyone says! Miike rules :D
