This movie reminds me of Local Hero

I couldn't help but think of Local Hero when I saw this.

In a number of ways, it resembles Local Hero, in that
Local Hero involved a man type going to a quaint remote city on a Business venture.
He then discoveres the city's uniqueness, and funny and neat people, and
If I remember correctly, he backs down on his business deal to help the city..
Just as the yakuza did..

I did enjoy Bird people though. Fun!
