why are people so stupid!?

why do so many people judge films like this and blair witch as *beep* because its not real?! yeah, its a movie dumbass, its fiction. you know films like this and blair witch are still only films? your not actually supposed to think its real footage, i put this on 4 minutes into it not knowing what it was and within 5 mins realised it wasnt real, but i also recognised it was just supposed to be a movie that instead of showing everything from static camera angles it shows everything from the camera of one of the characters. i dont know why people judge movies like this on the basis of "it sucks cos it wasnt real and if you think it was your an idiot", i mean, yeah its fake, and if you think its real you ARE an idiot, but you wouldnt judge one of the "alien" movies with the same logic, yet that is supposed to be thought of as its really happening to the characters, your just not seeing it from a video camera.

by this logic i could say that star wars is *beep* cos its not real

it's like those people who critisize pro wrestoling as well..it's a show folks! Blame UPN not the makers of this movie..the makers inteded it to be fiction..UPN edited the part out to try to pass as wreal.

God, it was boring. Completely stupid. Ouch, I want my life back. Bad as Ishtar and that is saying something. I'd walk out of that movie on a plane.

"I'd walk out of that movie on a plane." While I don't necessarily agree this movie was all that bad, I think that line in your critique is pretty hilarious. Ha! You should use that line if you ever do standup.

Doh, no you meant to say Blair Witch was crap. this movie was also crap, but some of that crap was scary.

Blair Witch was dumb, as the characters were quite stupid, and could've got out of that situatiion, by following the stream, or using the footage of the map they had recorded on the camcorder.

With Aliens, all bets are off.

When this first aired, it was presented as an authentic alien abduction video. They even included an interview with Stanton Friedman, who is a respected UFO researcher. It also aired in a time where most audiences weren't familiar with the "found footage" concept. I saw this when I was younger and would have actually believed it had they not used the actor from Space Cases LOL. Anyways, I still thought it was creepy.

i'm with you. within the first 5 minutes i knew it wasnt real. i could tell by the acting. However it didnt stop me from relaxing and enjoying the rest of the movie. it was actually quite funny in some scenes. and i didn't get angry, or go posting the word "fake" all over IMDB, or call people names, etc. People take movies way too seriously, im glad i don't. it was entertaining even if it wasn't real. 90% of all movies we watch didnt really happen
