the teletubbies, in their infinite evil, finish devouring the rabbits, and the sun baby mercifully opens a rift in space-time to Earth, where the drooling, hidious demented freaks begin to war against mankind. lots of gore and violence and teletubbies getting their brains blown out.

I think the children's version of Ren & Stimpy, had adult humour in it. Thats probably why they decided to make an adult version.

An adult version wouldn't have the Teletubbies as drug dealers and prostitutes. (Seriously was that a joke?)
An adult version would never be made, or there would be an adult Rosie & Jim who get married have kids and an adult Tots TV Tilly, Tiny and Tom would find their parents because they realise they have been living with no adult supervision in a cottage.

If the teletubbies ever gave anyone nightmares they need to see a doctor.
