Worst William Hurt Performance ever.

Of all the things I thought might suck in this, that last thing I expected was a walking coma phone-in from the usually engaging Mr. Hurt. My gawd. It's like he was the anti-Leto.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

Isn't the walking coma what every role William Hurt plays?

Yes. Exactly. This guy has all the enthusiasm an charisma of a 2x4.

I saw your original post title and thought you'd confused this board with the one for "Michael."

I came to this board specifically to comment on the same thing.

I know Hurt can be a little wooden at times, but nothing like this. He's emotionless and borderline inaudible he mumbles so badly.

And he seems like he just wants to be anywhere other than the Dune set.

Yeah, Hurt has been known to put in some great performances, but this isn't one of them.

I saw the word "comatose" in the comments section . . . seems to convey a little more energy that Hurt put into this program . . . "dead" is perhaps more accurate.

Ah, William Hurt. He has this unholy...ACTING....TALENT!!!

A little better than the LOST IN SPACE movie. As for Hurt as an actor, I don't mind him in THE INCREDIBLE HULK. But I'm not a fan of his anyway, so I haven't seen too much of his work.

I think he is better at playing bad guys. But his acting here was disappointing, and Prochnow in the 1984 movie was so much better, despite having fewer scenes. He shows the tragic that surrounds Leto.

I dont get why he is famous. Every movie I seen him in he just doing the same dull character. Its almost like hes reading cue cards. Reminds me of Steven Seagal.
