What exactly is the 'bunker scene'?

What exactly is the "bunker scene" and what makes it so disturbing?

"Warhorse. Warhead, Fuq 'em, man, White knuckle tight. Through black and white"

Seriously? Okay then, it's a scene where the main character, a teenage boy, sees his father anally raping his sister. That's the simplest way of putting it.

You are not serious is what you just said here? Are you? You can't be.

Not to mention the fact that the brother's suspisions are confirmed at this moment, witnessing his father rape his own daughter, hearing his sister crying in pain. How can any normal human not find this scene to be incredibly disturbing?

Easy- I don't make a habit of overestimating the human conscience. There was serious dysfunction all around- that, the baby molesting, Mum drinking while pregnant, Jess seducing her brother throughout the entire film, etc, wrapped up in the appearance of a loving household. Things actually were happy and loving, except for the sodomy and incest. So, at the end of the day, seeing an entire perverse ecosystem makes it nigh impossible for one thing to stand out as disturbing.

The way the movie ended, it looks business as usual- Jess and her Tom are going to get it on because killing their father didn't just protect her cornhole, it eliminated his main competition for her and leaves him as the alpha male. Looking at the jealousy on each of their faces when confronted with their sibling possibly being with someone else said it all.

This movie was really quite disturbing, and the idea that the brother and sister are going to become lovers after killing the father..is..disturbing.
