Tim's next directing project

A real shame he hasn't directed again.

I just saw the Charlie Rose interview on YouTube from 1999, and Tim said he was working with Rona Munro on his next directing project. But he couldn't say what the subject matter was, because if he did doors would start slamming shut. He did say it was very delicate, and it was about some great injustice being done that we're all somewhat responsible for - and it was creating a new generation of dysfunctional people.

Does anybody have any idea what happened to this project? And why Tim Roth hasn't directed another film since The War Zone?

"I was writing more about family than about prisons," says Munro. She'd spent time in prisons when researching a screenplay commissioned by Tim Roth. When the project fell through, she was left with a clutch of vivid impressions of life under lock and key, which she then fashioned into a play of her own.
