the bunker scene (my take)

checked out the bunker scene where the dad screws the daughter .Not as bad as i think people are making it out to be .still none the less .very fake pornographic by nature ..i understand the need for making a point but to get that graphic with it ..once youve crossed the line doesnt become artistic seriously

In that case, don't ever watch a film called Irreversible.

i've seen the movie irreversible..i also seen the extra's section of it ..where they talked about how they did it .the actor's junk was cgi'd into the film .to give it that explicitness..the director admits this in the extras section..the whole movie was EH ..i think movies like that are done for shock value ..more so then anything.i don't feel like there's anything creative to explicitness which is very one dimensional .what you see is what you get..that scene in irreversible was very painful to watch and when i say painful i mean
acting wise (i know this sounds bad ) but i was hoping that he would've gotten it over with and killed her just to shut her up..the acting was horrible ..in a way that cgi penis picked up the slack realisim in films is ok in moderation .when pertaining to a story when its over done it just seems to come off tacky..Kind of like the killing scenes in those cheesy halloween style horror movies where the girl screaming so much you actually root for the murderer to end her life quickly.so you don't have to deal with the over exaggerated horrible and unbelievable acting .
i got the point of this movie just it just took that particular bunker scene to a level where you didn't need to take it .Keep in mind when a movie is done in such a manor that it has to become so realistic ..its done that way because the director feels/think that the people watching aren't smart enough to get the point of what's being made . Honestly if you wanted to know about realistic incest check out cold case files.they always have good heart hitting stories about that type stuff its very direct and to the point as well as realistic. If that's not enough maybe you should seek professional help instead of what a movie

tim roth just needed to make a point about incest he didn't have to show it to do so..im sure you the viewer would of picked up on any implications of it ..

I agree on that. I believe the point was more to show the brother's reaction but then why show the scene to us?
I think (with a better actor for the kid), the scene would have had more impact just in a tight close up of the kid's face and the sound from what was going on inside the bunker. But maybe Roth's inexperience made him take the obvious route instead.
