Cost Cutting + Improvements

1) You want to keep the nucleus of Warren Beatty, Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn and Garry Shandling, and cost cut around them. Nastassja Kinski, Andie MacDowell, Josh Hartnett, Charlton Heston and Jenna Elfman are superfluous. Unfashionable actors at a fraction of the cost are capable of playing those parts.

2) Beatty directs. Shandling gets a writing credit.

3) Emphasise the aforementioned core group by limiting the screen time of the other characters. This could also have been aided post production by the editing process. I think you can cut about 20 minutes of film.

4) Limit the helicopter, crane shots. They were ad nauseam in this picture.

5) Abort project.
