If Furio should have came back?

I know that he left because of his growing feelings for Carmela and probably out of fear of Tony finding out and disgust towards him. It is too bad he didn't return.

I never liked how he left the show, returning for a few appearances in the final season would of been cool.

Furio was great. I wish they used him a *little* more (not overuse him like Happy Days did to Fonzie).

reply

I always wanted him to come back. It intrigued me that a member of the mob was into the boss's wife. The show was incredible and never lacked drama but I wanted just a little bit more of Carmela & Furio testing the waters.

reply

I was hoping he would make an appearance in France, or she went to Italy instead and tracked him down.

reply

Back when blue comet aired I
Remember thinking they were going to hire him to take out Phil

reply

Good thought. They should have done that.

reply

If I remember correctly there was even a
Line where tony says something about getting help from the Italians

reply

Maybe they didn't go there because Tony said he wanted to kill him (even though he never touched her)

Fear of Tony finding out?

Tony did find out big boy. That’s why he vanished.

There is a comment in one episode shortly after he vanished when Tony snears at Camilla and states “yeah we have people looking for him and when they find him that will be that”

This show deliberately left open loose ends.

That was a bluff by Tony that he using just to upset Carmella. It was the first episode of season 5, and had been almost a year since Whitecaps. Its not like Tony didn't know where Furio was going. Even if Tony was serious about killing Furio, he couldn't because Furio was a made guy in an Italian Family and was back in Italy under their protection. Since he never actually did anything with Carmella, no one would give Tony permission to kill him, and Tony made a lot of money with that family overseas, and wouldn't jeopardize that relationship over something like that.

reply

It didn’t come across that way to me. I never got the impression that he was bluffing.

It is a sound theory you have though. The series liked to leave a lot things open to interpretation.

I get the made guy issue, but it’s supposed to be against the rules to hit on another made guys wife, least not an actual bosses wife. That would have seen a hit sanctioned. Furio‘s own guys would have probably carried it out on Tony’s behalf.

You are correct caretaker

What do you mean 'If'? It was Furio that came back to put the hit on Tony at the end.

I think the actor became a problem leaking upcoming plot lines, so they dumped him.
