Question about the various video footage...

I really like this documentry, but Im curious where all the different video footage came from, especially the parts that show Micheal and his friends hanging out at home and different clips showing him setting up the parties he would throw and people interviewing him. They have a very home video feel to them and I was wondering since there seems to be so much of them who it was that was filming all of it.

I know there was alot of media coverage etc. but I doubt the media followed him around 24/7, so does anyone know where most of it came from???

A lot of it is from Nelson Sullivan. Look for the The 5 Ninth Avenue Project on youtube, it has tons of videos shot at the time by Nelson.

Thanks!!!I have been wondering that for a long time:)

I hated Manson in Party Monster until I saw Nelson's videos of Christina, then realized how spot on it was. Nelson's vids are fantastic.

I doubt much of it is by Sullivan. He died in 89, and it looks like most of this is from the early 90's.

I've often wondered this, too.

There are scenes in the documentary (like when Michael and James are 'cooking'), and you can hear them saying, "Michael, stop!" or "Michael, quit filming." It's clear they don't mean Michael Alig, so someone else named Michael must have been filming at some point. Michael Musto, maybe??
