Mumbling Madsen

Am I the only movie-goer that is convinced that Michael Madsen is as useless a leading actor as a piece of wood? I know that he sounds a lot like Christopher Walken in quiet-psycho mode but at least Walken has some variety in his performance. Madsen also seems to play the same character time and again, from "Reservior Dogs" to "Species", from "Kill Bill" to this.

In addition, the man cannot act. Though grizzled features and croaky voice may get you a few parts in Hollywood, I still can't quite believe that Madsen has been as successful as he has.
