I just saw this on cable (I think it was on one of the eight HBO or Showtime channels so it was uncut) and I wanted to call the cable company and demand that they pay me for damages I received watching this travesty!! I can't even believe that a studio gave this movie the green light!!
Was there something I missed? And exactly how many people out there liked this movie and WHY?!?!?

Just saw Forces of Nature and it sure isn't half as bad as everyone here seems to be making it out to be... Bad acting?: Have you guys seen any of the Star Wars films?

shareThis movie is "OK".. I too am a Sandra Bullock lover.. and Ben's OK as well.. Found a vhs copy (among the thousands I still have, and are trying to get rid of..) of this flick, and, as my mother is an avid Sandra fan, thought I'd watch it then mail it to her..
Not my favorite Bullock film, that entertaining enough.. just hope my mom doesn't get offended watching Sandra smoke pot..

Why's everyone saying it's SOO bad? I wasn't sure about it on first but it was the only thing on tv so I watched it and it didn't turn out bad at all.

I just watched the DVD - and I gave it a 9....I LOVED this movie!!!
It was the first time I've laughed out loud at a movie in a long time, the message was extremely positive and uplifting, and I feel sorry for those who weren't moved by this great film.
For me it rates as it has Maura Tierney in it, in a bridal gown! Now if this isn't one of the most beautiful things one can imagine I don't know what is!
Maura is the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen, truly a stunner and so so sexy in little black dress and heels.
I'd watch it for her alone (smooch)
I didnt have high expectations, but the overall point of this film is important and theres some nice cinematography.It was less annoying than i thought it would be and sometimes charming (whiuch is kind of annoying considering) Its also one of Affleks better performances (thats not saying much) otherwise its a pretty basic story w/ basic characters, basic dialogue and its often predictable. It wasnt good but it wasnt a travesty!

shareI also thought the direction and cinematography in this film are quite good -- for example, the sweeping camera angles and use of sunlight in the shots of the train rolling through the mountains are visually stunning. I wasn't as capitivated by the script (too many coincidences and contrived character tics), but overall I'd rate it a C-plus or B-minus -- definitely not the worst movie ever.

shareI just received this dvd today and I watched it tonight. I thought the movie was cute. But I too was directed towards the ending that Ben and Sarah would end up together. I don't know why, but that is where the movie took me. However I am glad that he stayed with his fiance. Steve was cute in this movie as well, even though he didn't have a very large role.
