Why not in the IMDb Top 250?

An 8.0 should be good enough. Does it not have enough votes?

If you click through the 7.9 offerings in the top 250 at the moment they all seem to have ratings greater than what they say on the top 250 page. Unbelievably Central Station does not appear to be in the list. Certainly one of my faves. Shame. Think I'll go give it a 9 :)

wow last octobber it was in the top 250 now no more, this film deserves to be in the top 100 films of all time

Hi guys!!! :o)

I am from Brasil and feel really happy (and proud of my country!) to see you enjoyed this film so much. I love it too.

Nowadays I live in the UK and would like to show some of my friends a little bit more of Brazilian movies than the typical (that they all know) "City of God" - which I particularly DON'T like - full of violence and poverty. I know this is the reality of the country but it gets tiring when most of the directors start to go for the same subject, maybe expecting they will get Oscar nominations doing that...

I am making a list but I want to know if you can help me by suggesting other films from Brasil you like? Because Central do Brasil is FOR SURE in my list! What other films you, as foreigners, enjoyed watching and would recommend?

So far I have thought of:
- O Invasor
- Deus é Brasileiro
- O Homem que Copiava
- Bossa Nova

What do you think? any opinions will be welcome :o)

Cheers!
