a touching film

i was invited to a brazilian fil festival yesterday and this film was being shown. I have to say at first i was a bit skeptical i guess i had a preconcieved idea of how it was gonna be but it turned out to be a really touching film.
I met the young boy who was in the film who was also at the premiere and he was very modest.
I know this may sound like a stupid question because i dont really know much about evangelists but why does the man drive away from Dora in the middle of the film? is it cos he is afraid of being commited to someone or is it beacuse of his religion/ or.. is it cos the dora did look abit rough!

The impression that I got from the film was that the truck driver left because of Dora's extreme actions. At least extreme from his point of view. Josue spoke of sex in Rio, and Dora talked him into drinking the beer, after being told that he was an evangalist (sp?). He was probably afraid that he would be tempted away from his faith.
