A moving film about a friendship between a lost child and a lost soul

Dora (Fernanda Montenegro) had become a blank human being whose bitterness and painful past had made her unable to empathize with anyone until Josué (Vinicius de Oliveira) comes her way and teaches her about compassion and how she can be worthy of love if she allowed herself to be open for it. The relationship between Josué and Dora warmed my heart. They began as foes and gradually found a way to relate and understand each other.

I cried at the end. I couldn't help it. I doubt any human being can.
