Name of town in Brazilian Northeast

What town does Josue meet his brothers in? What is the towns name called? It must be located in the northeast but what's the name of it called?

im not sure but i think its in Recife.

It's called Bom Jesus. Unfortunately there are about seven towns with that name in Brazil's northeast so it's hard to find on a map. Perhaps this was deliberate.

Hello,

I think the name of the town was Bom Jesus Da Norte - Good Jesus of the North - I think.

When Dora asks Irene to send money, Irene sends the money mistakenly to Bom Jesus Da Lapa instead of Bom Jesus Da Norte.

But the real location could be somewhere else. Bom Jesus was not listed as a filming lovation on imdb.

I think the real town could be somewhere else though. Imdb did not list Bom Jesus as a film location.
