Same villian as Bloodsport?

Soooo, both this and Van Damme's "Bloodsport" are about underground no-holds barred fighting, and the main villian in both films is named Chong Lee as well as being played by the same actor, Bolo Yeung. I haven't seen this film, but I'm just curious if this is intentional (as in both films take place in the same "universe" if you will), or if this was just an attempt to capture some of the same audience (being released only a year apart, I seriously doubt the similarities are a coincidence).

Yeah it's meant to be a "Bloodsport" ripoff but in my opinion it's actually better. It's one of my favorite martial arts movies ever. I think there is more emotion in it due to the teacher/student relationship (the plot of the two movies differ). The final fight scene is one of the best martial arts fights I've ever seen.

Are you sure it's just not a Korean remake?

Sorry for bringing back an old post, but I just wanted to say, if you haven't figured it out yet. In Bloodsport, his name is Chong Li. In Blood Fight, his name is Chang Lee. :)

Takin' out the trash, trailer park style!!
