Where was it originally shown?

I got this movie in a discount bin at a grocery store ...I am a huge Koontz fan (of his books) and figured it was cheap so what the heck. ;) Didn't know it was a TV movie but the commercial breaks became obvious very quickly....BUT what got me was that there were a couple of scenes of nudity in the movie. I know that mainstream American TV doesn't show nudity in their programming...so I am curious if anyone knows where the movie was originally shown?

No, 'Mr. Murder' was originally shown as a mini-series on ABC. Some nudity is allowed on the main broadcasting networks as long as it is not full frontal, which typically translates to shots of the rear.

Edit:

Just to be clear, this was shown on the American ABC channel, not to be confused with the Australian namesake.

The VHS I watched has several female topless shots as well as a few rear shots. I highly doubt that that nudity to this degree would have aired on ABC then (or now). I suspect the nudity was added for video release.
