Best villain of the age?

In an era where cartoon villains were generally bumbling and incompetant, a few names rise above the others to be considered a credible threat. One such name that comes to mind is Skullmaster. He was the creme of the crop. He was imposing, standing a full ehad taller even than Norman. He was a skilled fighter, handily defeating the aforementioned guardian whenever they crossed swords (which wasn't often, as Max generally faced him alone, though he did kill Hanuman when they faced off). He was intelligent enough not to simply capture the hero and gloat over him, to him it was enough simply to kill the Mighty One and be done with it. He had charisma and charm (but then again, what Tim Curry voiced character doesn't? The man knows how to play a good villain). And there was a real threat of menace. You knew that if he ever got ahold of Max, the show would be over. Big, scary guy, who's favorite pasttime was to talk about killing he enemy, and then eating him. Hard to top in a censor-heavy American cartoon if you ask me. I can only imagine how much better Skullmaster and Norman would have been if the censors at the time had allowed for blood and more violence.
