You probably gave up on this long ago, but I just saw the movie and it's "My Eyes Adored You" by Frankie Valli

Madam is right. My Eyes Adored You by Frankie Valli (& the Four Seasons)) The only other song I remember , from the film, is Beyond the Blue Horizon that played at the end. I don't know which version - I know it wasn't Johnny Mathis. Nothing like reviving an old topic but maybe someone knows? Thanks in advance.

I just started watching the movie today 10/1/13. The song at the beginning (and also the end according to another poster) is “Beyond the Blue Horizon.” The singer who had a hit with it in 1974 was Lou Christie.

It is on YouTube at:

The version in “When Husbands Cheat” is not Lou Christie but the singer sang it exactly as Christie did.

The Christie version was featured in “Rain Man” starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman.

Believe it or not, the song was introduced by Jeanette MacDonald in 1930 in the movie “Monte Carlo.” It was a huge hit and she made it her theme song. During World War II she changed the line, "Beyond the blue horizon lies the rising sun" to " ... lies the shining sun" because the Rising Sun was the symbol of America's enemy, Japan.

Jeanette’s version can be heard at:

As you might have guessed, this is one of my all-time favorite songs.
