Love Louie, is it worth 5 bucks?

Tell me if you've bought it on louisCK.net and if you've liked it, or not. Please. Thanks.

If you like his early work like the shorts Ice cream and Hello there you should definitely check it out. Worth the $5 imo.

Just bought it today and don´t regret it. It´s a crazy *beep* movie, but I like films like that. I imagine there are plenty of people that couln´t even bare watching it to the end, but *beep* them! ;-)

Anyways, it´s just 5 bucks and all goes to Louis CK. So buy it, watch it, and if you don´t like it, then just think of your 5 dollars as a donation towards his future work. If you´re his fan, 5 dollars shouldn´t be an issue.

Hope you´ll like it though.

Interesting, didn´t know that IMDB is "beeping" swear words..

I just finished watching it. I'd say it was worth the 5 bucks. It's kind of a dark comedy. And let's test out the cursing. I'm going to say the s word, and then the f word in a sentence as in s f. *beep* *beep*. That's all.

Thank you everyone! I've seen the part with Steve Carell that they showed on the Daily Show, when Louis was invited the other day. It was reeeaaally lame. So I'm still not tempted to buy it. Maybe later, who knows.

Yeah I bought it last night. It was really good! You can tell it's really low budget so don't expect perfection. It's not Eraserhead, but what is? It is very Lynchy and I would say Jim Jarmusch and the Cohen Brothers as well. It also reminded me of Darron Aronofsky's Pi which also came out that year. Only this is a comedic farce. I think think this made it more difficult to take as seriously. Like if Louis made this a serious film it would've been as revered as a film like Pi. There are some beautiful moments that are definitely worth the purchase. Especially some shots around New York that are just gorgeous! They are also some disturbing parts too. You'll recognize some of his humor from his show. Louie is better but that shouldn't take from your enjoyment of this great first effort. And if it came out in 1998 would have been a classic in its own right. At least a cult classic like The Search For One-Eyed Jimmy.
