Does this really take place in Springfield, IL? It doesn't look like Springfield. I live only 30 min away so I know what Springfield looks like and that's not it. There are no woods or mountains near Springfield. So what's up?

It was filmed in High Point, NC and Winston-Salem, NC also where I live.

How difficult is it to click on "filming Locations" in IMDb?
on the relevant movie page. ie "Target Earth"
