Did Rand knew about Sociobiology ?

I'm kinda confused here. While i agree with sociobiology's conclusions with regards to the diminished "REPRODUCTIVE" value of woman that doesn't say anything about other forms of value like financial or even intellectual resources.

I believe many of objectivists idolized rand and while the vast majority of men weigh honest signals in females to determine their value to investing in intimate relationships it isn't always the case as with biology there are always exceptions. In rands case we are likely dealing with a sampling error that is for the most part very rare.

But i don't see the error rand committed here other then seeking companionship/ intimacy other then the potential that it's likely to break down because of her diminished reproductive value as it did. It's just short term vs long term reasoning.

I think a far more interesting question is cheating sociobiology and honest signals. Medical technology and knowledge about the human body allows woman to look younger longer somewhat cheating this evaluative mechanism. Not to mention the fact that hair dye allows woman to have lighter colored hair longer, i understand as woman age their hair darkens and hair color is an outward indicator of reproductive potential in this regard. Even Make-up is cheating.

In more extreme cases even men who have gender identity disorders can be made to carry feminine indicators with hormone therapy and silicone implants totally screwing that evaluative mechanism up

I got a secret for you. Women want youth and physical attractiveness in men, too. Sometimes you may see a much younger woman with an older man, but only if the man is quite wealthy. Youth and beauty is a signal of reproductive fitness in men AND women.

Honestly, you're talking BS. Women get with younger men all the time--nothing weird,strange, or "going against nature" about it. Men get with younger women all the time,and even men can't reproduce after a certain age, but funny how you didn't even bring that up.
