This is a great movie...
Kasden once again...does a great job with creating characters and people and a feeling.
Big Chill and Grand Canyon are some of the best movies of all time.
Mumford is good.

It's one of my all time favorites. It has delicious surprises, and a _very_ kind heart.
I though Loren Dean was perfectly cast, and ditto for Hope Davis. That they aren't "famous faces" was a big plus in how real this movie felt.

I entirely concur.
I think Mumford, Grand Canyon, and The Big Chill are all great ensemble masterpieces that lead me to list Lawrence Kasdan as one of the great filmmakers.
