someone please help!

I've been reading these posts and a lot of people are saying they've seen this film on FLIX, showtime and starz. I, myself saw it on showtime. But this movie is old. All these posts are VERY new. Where did this insurgence into america come from? Is hollywood going to remake it?? Is it a hit in it's original country?? There's very little to say about this movie. Sure, you can call it avant gard, but it's still somewhere around a 5.5/10 for me. There's very few threads about this film, and very few votes. Why is it now surfacing? IMO, it could have just as easily faded to nothing. Someone...help me.
