Hilarious movie

With all the positive posts here, ome people must just like this kind of thing enough to suspend disbelief to astronomical levels. Apparently that's not me. We watched this at a girls' night and maybe I was just sleep-deprived, but the whole thing was just so ridiculous. It was some time ago so I don't remember specifics, but all of them being so serious about being in love across time and everything tickled me to death. And I felt so bad for his fiance. He was going to marry a girl when apparently he didn't even care for her at all? Why?! Besides, that, everything was hilarious. Idk, maybe I'm the only one. We can all enjoy it one way or another, I suppose =D.

Well, everybody has different tastes. That's the beauty of movies. ;-) Personally I found it a sweet and romantic love story that beats the hell out of a lot of so called 'great' romantic movies (e.g. I thought Titanic was about as romantic as a documentary on the sinking!)

This happens all the time in films where the woman is in love with someone else and dumps the guy either at the alter or somewhere along the line. I always wondered why they even ask or say yes if they are not sincere. I also never get why they can't figure out something is wrong before the other person even shows up.

They made her likable witch is not common for fiance's/woman in films,
as we are so used to the person being a jerk and there is reason for duping them. But not in this case so we can understand why so many feel she got screwed. The guy she had was less supportive so they did not go all the way with sympathetic rejections, but I guess one out of two ain't all that bad.
