WOW!

I have not seen the full movie, I have not seen it in the video stores here in America. But, I have seen clips and I had vaguely heard of the case while in graduate school studying criminology. We have our own "home grown" crimes here and Australia always seemed so normal and friendly. I read the case and all I have to say is WOW. What that poor woman must have gone through enrages me to the highest degree. I also find it sad that in all societies the poor are really not given the care they need, NOT THAT THIS IS ANY REASON TO KILL A PERSON OR BECOME A PREDATOR BY ANY MEANS. I can't help but wonder if things would have been different if some things would have been different.

What I found that was truly amazing was David Wenham's performence. To play the part as the "leader of the pack" is something I would love to discuss with him. As someone who studies criminal behavior and is an amateur profiler, to get into a mind like that is a feeling like no other. David Wenham seems like such a very sweet, heart of gold kind of person and to see him play that part was astonishing, and all I saw were some clips from the movie. I hope I do get to meet him one day and tell him that and ask him about it.

But that poor woman and her family as well as other things are what made me want to study crime and criminals so that I could help catch them. I hate that Australia is catching the American disease. I will light a candle for her and her family.
