Thanks for the site, I have tried to look up this case, but in the US, we have too many of our own home grown murders and rapes.

(Your English is fine)

They are in prison in Goulburn, at the Supermax prison there, the highest security prison in NSW, if not the whole of Australia. Hopefully they will remain there for the rest of their lives

So what I told you was true... From a certain point of view

Actually these scrotes were sentenced under the 'old' Life regime. Ie: they are entitled to apply for a determination (what does 'Life' mean in my case?) after ten years. The term 'Never to be Released' is no more than a judicial recommendation which any realease authority are free to disregard. Now, the crux....Les Murphy appealed against his conviction and sentence. He was still found guilty, still sentenced to life, but when sentenced the judge did not pronounce the words, 'Never to be released' which means not only was he free to lodge an appliction for determination ten years ago, he doesnt have that added weight the others have. As for being housed at the 'Supermax', I doubt that very much. Back when I worked in the system they were on protection, but housed in a normal protection area with 100 or so others. Nothing special, and the only reason they were even on protection wasnt because of what they did, but because when caught they dobbed (informed on) each other in.

Cheers.

I believe at least one of them currently reside in Parklea Prison.

The Cobby murderers all got never to be released on their sentencing, so yes they are all still in jail.

Do you always get so lost watching movies, that you have to ask others...

The Anita Cobby case makes for probably the best argument for capital punishment in this country. I'm actually surprised the perps haven't been killed Dahmer-style in prison. I have so much sympathy for Anita Cobby's friends, family, and husband.
