No, not at all. A man (or woman) may fall in love with someone else. I did, and my wife was almost as revengeful and crazy as this woman. I had to move to another country, cause if not, she might have killed my girlfriend (she may still do that, if she knows where I live). I talked to a psychiatrist about this and he said that some women are that possesive and unsure of themselves, they get real dangerous, when they find out their husband has found someone else. In fact it is really sad.

OP, I TOTALLY agree with you. The working mom was villainized, caught, and the adulterer and his pregnant slut live happily ever after. Yippe, yippee. They tried to make the wife look like a heartless villain; they failed. I saw her attempt to connect with her son; I saw her hurt when her husband scolded her for saying the "wrong" thing to him. I saw the look on her face when she overheard the tramp tell the husband that she was pregnant. And of course, the so-sweet babysitter is SO good with their son, so the cheaters live happily ever after with a non-traumatized kid. I'd like to beat them both up. I wish the wife had kept her sanity and sued the cheating creep dry.

I remembering seeing this movie years ago and there was so many things about this movie that bothered me about this film, including the end. I felt the ending was too convenient and I couldn't help but sympathized with the wife. I know the film was trying to get the audience to side with the lovers but I just couldn't because the husband, in particular, really got on my nerves. He kept talking like his wife was a bad mother, because she wasn't caring and warm like the babysitter. He knew who she was before he married her. He had no sympathy for his wife and he felt he was in the right, which he wasn't. I could also tell that his wife wasn't comfortable with her son because her own mother was not comfortable with her as a child and parent. In addition, his general intention was not good. Yes, he was leaving his wife but he was also trying to replace his son's mother with his mistress, the babysitter, which was really wrong. Plus, he was a real leech. I remembered he worked for his wife's mother company and they gave him a job, from which he wasn't qualified for, because he was married to the boss's daughter. He also literally had nothing before marrying her, not even a degree. I didn't get his stance that he would get custody and his wife did not have legality to their child, Mostly because he would have been seen as a cheater, with the possibility of no job prospects and no letter of recommendation. So how did he get this notion his wife wouldn't get custody of their child and run off with the babysitter happily playing house. I get he didn't love his wife anymore but he was a real cheating jerk, who vilified his wife for his fantasies, after using his wife.
