Are the episodes online anywhere?

Youtube has only a select few clips. I want more!

I'm not paying $30 for the Criterion DVD either.

You Scots and your wacky outdoor sports shows. Is nothing sacred to you people? You know, outside of all of those Scotish things that you hold sacred, like haggis and stuff?

Sounds like a disgesting food, really. But I bet it couldn't be much worse than vienna sausages or Spam or delicious fried bologna sandwiches with pickes and jelly.

Say, how's Chicago? Are you sick of that accent yet?

Fishing With John is the finest show to come out of America since... well, since whatever show featured Tom Waits thrusting a newly caught snapper down his shorts before it.

Observe, please:

Aside from that career-defining moment from Waits, the episode features some other rare delights most people will go through their whole life without witnessing. Don't let this happen to you, or your loved ones!

You're right about the Scots, I feel, and we might be the only culture which so readily devours that which we hold sacred. Consumption is the sincerest form of worship, and I just with the Hindus could see this when it comes to the cow.

Ah, and Chicago's pretty cool. I've been living with and married to the accent for some time, so I should hope I've gotten used to it, as much as it sounds like strangulation.

P.S. Vienna sausages rule!

At least it's not nearly as bad as some of the folks I went to school with from that area. Strangulation sounds about right, but more specifically it sounds like, instead of saliva, their mouth glands produce an oatmeal-ish paste that prevents them from using the back part of their mouths, or 'throat holes' for the more technically inclined, to their maximum potential.

I believe the condition is closely linked with the individual's weekly sausage intake.

Oh, and I've never heard of this "Fishing with John". I think you've somehow managed to make the whole thing up. You're a very detailed liar.

Do not hesitate to buy this on DVD. If you get it off ebay, you may find it for $20 delivered. Hell, pay the full $40 and it is still worth it. I have some 400 DVDs in my collection, mainly foreign and indie films...and I revisit Fishing with John more than any of them. The commentary is a great bonus you will not get even if lucky enough to ever find aired on TV again (which is not too likely to ever happen as it is so obscure).

Just found this on Netflix streaming.

Enjoy!!
