To the Gobots fans, should I give it another chance?

Admitedly I'm at a cross roads. While I came here to post the news for the fans, I never really liked the Gobots. It was one of the HB shows I had zero intention of buying.

But now i'm intrigued by the Roboforce special they are adding as a bonus on the second volume. So that being said I skipped several action shows and came back to like them now that i'm older.

So boarderline question has anyone else's opinion of this show improved with the dvds. I'm thinking about buying volume 2 and watching a few episodes and if so i'll go back for the first two sets. But i'm curious if there's anyone else out there that like me didn't like it and found giving it a second shot was a good idea.
